Rely on the quality of our certified wooden boxes: we only use wood that has been properly treated to comply with wood packaging standards.
The possible phytosanitary measures are:
- Import ban (ensures maximum phytosanitary safety, but would result in the blocking of world trade);
- Introduction of specific phytosanitary requirements (pest free
area); - Requiring a phytosanitary certificate (document issued by the NPPO);
- Inspection at entry (involving considerable resources for inspections);
- Pre-shipment treatment

Pre-shipment treatment is the phytosanitary measure identified by the IPPC and is the basis for the International Standard ISPM-15. In short, this Standard stipulates that raw wood packaging must be treated (heat treatment | HT or methyl bromide fumigation treatment | MB) and subsequently certified with the IPPC/FAO mark. This mark must be controlled through a certification system of companies in the wood packaging and treatment chain.
